Summary in Plain English
PixelTamp does not collect, transmit, store, or sell any personal data, usage analytics, or telemetry. All media compression and format conversion occurs 100% locally on your Mac using native hardware acceleration. Your files never leave your device.
1. Data Collection & Telemetry
PixelTamp collects zero telemetry or user data:
- No tracking of which files you compress or convert.
- No IP addresses, device identifiers, or location data collected.
- No third-party analytics SDKs (such as Google Analytics or Firebase).
- No advertising frameworks or trackers.
My Promise: If any aspect of this policy or data collection stance ever changes in a future release, you will receive a clear in-app notice with full disclosure and an explicit opt-in or opt-out choice the next time you reopen the application.
2. Local File Processing
PixelTamp runs completely offline. When you drop images, videos, or folders into the application:
- Media decoding and encoding are executed in-process on your Mac using native
AVFoundationandImageIOframeworks and embedded libraries. - No files, thumbnails, or frame data are ever uploaded to any server or cloud service.
- Files are read from and written to the directories explicitly selected through macOS user interaction.
3. File System Access & User Consent
PixelTamp operates exclusively on the media files and directories you provide. The application only accesses assets that you explicitly drag into the window or select through the native macOS file dialogue.
